Nvidia recently announced the development of GauGAN, a smart drawing app that uses a deep learning model to generate photorealistic versions of simple drawings created by human artists. Nvidia has just teased a video of Nvidia GauGAN – A software based on Nvidia’s deep learning and AI research. According to Nvidia- “GauGAN turns rough doodles into photorealistic masterpieces with breathtaking ease. The tool uses generative adversarial networks to convert segmentation maps into lifelike images.” gaugan An automator for generating multiple frames through Nvidia's GauGAN. Please remember that I am not a coder and the person who created this for me has disappeared from the internet apparently.

nvidia gaugan GauGAN, named after post-Impressionist painter Paul Gauguin, creates photorealistic images from segmentation maps, which are labeled sketches that depict the layout of a scene. Artists can use paintbrush and paint bucket tools to design their own landscapes with labels like river, rock and cloud. GauGAN utilises a deep learning model developed by NVIDIA Research that leverages generative adversarial networks, or GANs, to convert segmentation maps into lifelike images. Project Innovation GauGAN allows users to draw their own segmentation maps and manipulate the scene, labelling each segment with labels like sand, sky, sea or snow.

NVIDIA Research also works to advance the frontier of visual computing, including algorithms and architectures for real-time rendering, virtual and augmented reality, display technology, light transport, machine learning, computer vision, computational photography and computational sensing, and human-computer interfaces. 2019-07-30 2020-12-07 Training the default GauGAN as provided in the implementation on images of size 768 x 576 with batch size of 1 takes about 12 GB of GPU memory.
